3 Steps to Renew Your CompTIA Certification
You've worked hard to earn the reputable CompTIA certification. Do not let it go off your hands by missing CEU credits.
There are three easy steps to renew your CompTIA certification.
Step 1: Earn the Required CompTIA Credits
Each CompTIA certification requires a different number of CEU credits every three years to renew the certification.
- A+, Data+: 20 CEU Credits
- DataSys+, Network+: 30 CEU Credits
- Security+, Linux+, Cloud+: 50 CEU Credits
- PenTest+, CySA+: 60 CEU Credits
- CASP+: 75 CEU Credits
You can read more in our CompTIA Certification Renewal post.
Step2: Pay the Annual CE Fee
CompTIA requires certification holders to pay an annual CE fee to submit their earned CEU credits and hold their certification status active. The Annual CE fee is either $25 or $50 depending on the certification. The breakdown is as follows:
- A+, Data+: $25
- DataSys+, Network+, Security+, Linux+, Cloud+, PenTest+, CySA+, CASP+: $50
Step 3: Renew Your CompTIA Certification
After completing the required CEU credits, if you paid the annual CE fees as well, you will be able to renew your CompTIA certification. Your new three-year renewal cycle will start right after you renew your certification.
