3 Steps to Renew Your Scrum Alliance Certification

You've worked hard to earn the reputable Scrum Alliance certification. Do not let it go off your hands by missing SEU credits.

There are three easy steps to renew your Scrum Alliance certification.

Step 1: Earn the Required SEU Credits

Each Scrum Alliance certification requires a different number of SEU credits every two years to renew the certification.

  • Professional (CSP®-SM, CSP®-PO, CSP®, CAL): 40 SEU Credits
  • Advanced (A-CSM®, A-CSPO®): 30 SEU Credits
  • Foundational (CSM®, CSPO®, CSD®): 20 SEU Credits
  • Leadership (CAL-E, CAL-O, CAL-T): 10 SEU Credits

If you are holding more than one Scrum Alliance certification, you will need to submit the full amount of required SEUs for your highest-level certification, but you will only be required to submit half the amount of required SEUs for each certification in a different track thereafter.

Step2: Pay the Renewal Fee

The renewal fee differs based on the level of certification.

  • Professional (CSP®-SM, CSP®-PO, CSP®, CAL): $250
  • Advanced (A-CSM®, A-CSPO®): $175
  • Foundational (CSM®, CSPO®, CSD®): $100
  • Leadership (CAL-E, CAL-O, CAL-T): $50

Step 3: Renew Your Scrum Alliance Certification

After completing the required SEU credits, if you paid the renewal fee as well, you will be able to renew your Scrum Alliance certification. Your new two-year renewal cycle will start right after you renew your certification.
